Supervised by Tomohiro Nishikado, designer of the 1978 blockbuster sci-fi arcade game, Space Invaders Revolution continues the alien armada annihilation with 60 levels of classic shooting action spanning 20 international locales. Players can use either the directional pad or stylus to slide their ground cannon to the left and right as advancing waves of aliens shuffle down the screen. Once the aliens have been eliminated, play continues at a faster pace until the final confrontation with the creatures' mother ship on the moon. New wrinkles on the traditional play include six collectible power-ups that offer shields, rapid-fire shots, laser beams that penetrate entire columns, support craft, and more. As a special bonus, Taito's original coin-op game is included in all its black-and-white glory.

One of the classics born again!
A wonderful game made nearly 30 years ago, Space Invaders has been pleasing gamers for 3 decades. The original mainly seen in arcade shops would have a line waiting to get on the machine. Upon purchase of the new Space Invaders I could see there were quite a few differences. The new game is actually equipped with more evolved levels as the shooter is far faster and the speed far superior. The game takes you from city to city where you must defeat the quick falling objects in order to complete the mission. It also has the original arcade version. When the original arcade version came out in 1978 people were hooked. From children to elders a game in which seemed very easy became very hard and complicated. I love the fact that with a touch of a stylus, the game is activated into the play mode. I invested so many quarters at arcades, I should be a Space Invader shareholder by now. This game has two play modes, the original classic arcade game, and a New Age Version, with cool graphics and various different location modes to play in, and master. Space Invaders utilizes the double screen very well with the stylus, it has the shoot button, and the controls are quick and responsive. It is the same addicting format, in a mini, portable version. The scoring is all on the bottom screen, showing which level, stage, and how many ships you have left. This game is fun for Veteran Space Invader gamers, and it is fun for younger gamers, who just want a good shooter format game, for the DS. Space Invaders ... A lot of fun and great memories of youth.
I like this game a lot. When I was young I use to go to the arcade to play it. It's so much fun now since now I don't have to worry about inserting quarters in to play. It's a very nice game to have when ever you want. I'm glad they made this version.

good basic action game just like the original however i think the figures are too small for the DS size screen. best for a tv or other big screen.
