About this product

Product Information

After a successful run on personal computers, elusive thief Carmen Sandiego sneaks her way onto GameCube in an international adventure spanning five continents. While previous games in the educational series featured a point-and-click interface as players pieced together clues to Sandiego's whereabouts, The Secret of the Stolen Drums is a more action-oriented title. To help catch the ringleader and her V.I.L.E. (Villains' International League of Evil) henchmen, players must use an assortment of spy gadgets and a series of acrobatic moves to avoid detection and to apprehend their intended targets. As special agent Cole Gannon, players can switch between a stealth walk, crouched walk, and a tightrope walk as well as perform diving rolls or the act of shimmying across ledges. A total of nine cities will familiarize players with certain elements of geography as the hunt for Carmen Sandiego begins anew.

  • Not the Carmen San Diego I Remember...

I decided to buy the game because I randomly discovered that such a game existed -- the only Carmen San Diego game for a console, and the first and last one to be published in like 8 years. Well this game sucks. You run around hitting robots with your smashing stick and that's about it. You collect "clues" which literally consists of grabbing these compasses that represent clues, and once you have 5 of these "clues" you suddenly know carmen's new whereabouts. each new level throws lots of uninteresting, basic-knowledge data about the new location at you before the level starts, sort of like a lame intro, and then the gameplay itself is devoid of any new information, real puzzles, or pretty much anything that made the carmen san diego games fun. as i said, you don't get real clues, and ...

  • Can't get enough CS

I love all the Carmen Sandiego games. Hey, I'm old - I started when you had to load the disk into the drive and no one had more than a 40 mb hard drive ... The plot is interesting, the graphics are excellent and it's a lot of fun. What else do you need?

  • Great Game for All Ages

I really like the fact that anyone can play this game. It's not difficult and you don't need to remember 1000+ codes, buttons or combinations.
