The sequel to the racing smash THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS may not have Vin Diesel as its star, but it burns with even higher octane than its predecessor, and a lot less extraneous drama. Back in action is undercover cop Brian O'Connor (Paul Walker) whose career has hit the skids since he let Diesel's character escape at the last film's end. He has sunk in status and is now a fringe dweller on the Miami street racing scene. A chance at redemption arrives when the fuzz recruits him to investigate Carter Vellone (Cole Hauser), a top-dog street racer with dangerous drug connections. O'Connor recruits his bickering childhood pal (model/singer Tyrese), now a nitro-burning ex-con from the Diesel school of toughness, to help him pull the bad guys to the curb with a tyre-spinning vengeance. John Singleton (BOYZ IN THE HOOD, HIGHER LEARNING) directed, and obviously had great fun delivering, a straight-up racing thriller that's free of the message-bearing pressure of being a John Singleton film. 2 FAST fairly roars off the screen with comic book exuberance and a cheerful disregard for anything that gets in the way of its forward momentum. Best of all is Tyrese, a natural, laid-back star he's not afraid to poke fun at his own shirtless model-boy image and amply compensates for the mighty Vin's absence. Rapper Ludacriss is also memorable as O'Connor's mechanic, as is model Devon Akoi as a cute female racer.

    great film,loved car action,best i have seen for a while.

    it was a gift for my grandson,he showed me a clip on U TUBE and said how much he liked it,i thought it was very good so i looked on ebay and ordered it straight away,at £2.99 inc P&P it was amazing value.We were not disappointed ,great film great car action,will look out for later films.john freeman

    2 fast 2 furious

    After "The Fast And The Furious" was released in 2001 it was going to take a lot to match it. "2 Fast 2 Furious" excels in this and every field. Since Brian O Connor let Dom Toretto escape at the end of the first film he has lost his job and dissapeared - racing with a clean attitude and travels his way to Mexico with a brand new Skyline. He seems now to have a habit of winning any NOS-filled race he enters. Then he is captured after one such race by the police and offered an ultimatum - jail or his record wiped clean along with unlikely parter Roman. Will he accept? The DVD features excellent picture and subtitle quality and the animated menus simply add to the racing. You can even choose which car the menu is based around.     2 Fast 2 Furious

    Fast cars, pretty girls, high speed chases, solid racing. What you were expecting maybe "Gone with the Wind"? This is a fun thing to watch suspend disbelief at the door and enjoy yourself for the time its on the screen. Reminded me a lot of classic car shows of the seventies(i. e. Starsky and Hutch, Dukes of Hazzard etc.) You want some serious drama go see something else. You want an entertaining 2 hours go see this.

    2 Fast 2 Furious

    After allowing fugitive Dominic Toretto to evade arrest in the first film, former LAPD officer Brian O'Conner finds himself on the run and leaves Los Angeles for Miami to start a new life. There, he makes new friends with Tej Parker (Ludacris), an ex-street racer, and Jimmy (Jin Auyeung), a well-known car tuner as well as Suki (Devon Aoki), also a street racer. Brian is now known by his street name "Bullet" due to his driving skills and his modified silver Nissan Skyline GT-R R34. He competes with fellow street racers in high stakes races to win money using the skills he learned as a member of Toretto's now disbanded crew.
