If like me you are a fan of Gene Wilder, you probably already have this film in your collection, if not, why not. It is funny from start to finish, yes some of the humour is childish, but for me this can sometimes be the best kind of humour. It follows the attemps of Rudy Valentino, a dreamer who enters a film studio talent scouting audition, which aims to produce a star as big as it's rival film studio, which has Rudolph Valentino as it's biggest screen star. A laugh-fest follows as Rudy's fiance falls for Rudolph Valentino and Rudy pretends to be him in order to avaoid losing her. The comedy is daft and slapstick, quick and doble-barrelled and should keep you howling throughout. A 5 star must of a film if you like a good laugh.
I saw this film 40 years ago. A nice blast from the past
