Bachmann Jubilee
Well, it's a bit difficult to know what to write about a second hand item. This is an older Bachmann model, and as such relies on an older motor, possibly the old Palitoy unit, although later models will have a newer Bachmann unit. The original model was part of the Palitoy 'Mainline' range of the 70's and 80's and the tooling was later bought by Bachmann. As an older model, it won't be as precise and smooth as a modern loco, but with a little care and careful maintenance will run for plenty more years. The detailing is very good for it's time, and way ahead of most Hornby models of that era. The advantage of these older models is of course cost. With plenty of spares still available, it's a good cheap way of getting into model railways if you don't have £60 - £120 for the new model locos. ...
