Terms and conditions of the sale
All of our items are used pieces of furniture and they will have signs of use and general wear to the varnish wood or general surfaces, so please do look at all of the close up photos in detail to ensure customer satisfaction before buying. We will point out general condition however the photos provide the best point of intricate detail.
 
GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ALL PRODUCTS
 
Our items are not professionally cleaned. This means we can sell products at a lower and more competitive price to our customers.
 
Antique / Vintage items often have historical build up of solid dust or dirt in areas. If you require professional cleaning of products, there are many services available on line that you can access to have your items cleaned if you so wish.
 
All descriptions are our own personal opinion, items are not professionally valued or assessed for authenticity. Ages of items are described in broad terms, If you would like more specific detail or clarification of an item please seek professional guidance before you purchase the item. All measurements are approximate.
 
Many antique products often have old historical woodworm holes, particularly on back panels and softer woods. If any item displays old historical woodworm it will be treated on arrival to the warehouse and noted in the listing.
 
We have an Ebay shop with a wide variety of furniture, mirrors, carpets, rugs, lighting and household items, so please see our ‘other listings’.
 
We are a family run business who aim to provide the very best customer service to Ebay members. Our items are carefully hand picked and sourced in an effort to provide a diverse range of furniture and homeware. Individual items you may be interested in buying, can be viewed at our showroom in Bedford.
 
DELIVERIES
 
If you need delivery, please do contact us, as we are often able to deliver ourselves depending on destination. Please be aware that if we deliver, it will be a grouped service in order to keep costs low but this could take two to three weeks - although it is often much sooner. If you need a quicker service, please let us know before bidding.
 
Please note that it is a one man, blanket wrapped, delivered to your door service; so we will need help at your end if it is a heavy item. We will always be as helpful as possible but in order to avoid risk on your premises, we are not able to carry items up stairs. If you do require assistance, or if there are any particular difficulties in getting the item into your house, please contact us in advance. Please also make us aware of any parking restrictions or difficulties in getting to your property.
 
IF SENDING A COURIER TO COLLECT
 
Please avoid a courier who cannot give us at least 48 hours notice for collection. Because we are a small business we are often out sourcing products and at antique auctions. We will always aim to do our very best to be flexible & available, however if your courier is not flexible or cannot give 48 hours notice this can cause delays in your item being collected.
 
To ensure a smooth collection process, please ensure that you as the customer contact us directly as soon as your courier has a collection date (48 hours notice) and that the courier also contacts us directly as well as yourself. This communication between all 3 parties ensues we are all clearly informed and can prevent problems with your collection.
 
In order to keep costs low to our customers, we do not generally wrap any items. Your courier should have blankets to cover furniture items, before they are secured in the transport vehicle.
 
We inspect each item when it leaves us, to ensure it matches the item description. If the item is damaged in transit, this is an issue you will need to take up with your courier. We do not accept returns of goods that are damaged in transit.
 
Our warehouse is only open by appointment, so please contact us at least 48 hours before collection so that we can try to make sure the warehouse can be opened for your collection.
 
We also have two collection addresses (both in the district of Bedford MK43 & MK41), so we can at this point advise which one it is.
 
OVERNIGHT COURIER SERVICES
 
Please be aware that none of our items are suitable for being sent out through an overnight distribution service. We do not pack or wrap products.
 
POSTAGE
 
Postage rates are shown for UK deliveries. Overseas deliveries will be more expensive.
 
Most items will be sent economy via Hermes courier service, Royal Mail or other which normally takes 3-5 working days. Some of these services are trackable and may need to be signed for - please contact us for details. For these items faster standard and express services are available via Royal Mail on request for an additional cost. Some bulkier items may be too large to be sent via Hermes or Royal Mail in which case an alternative 3-5 working day courier service will be used with faster options available on request for an additional cost. For overseas purchases Royal Mail’s Standard Airmail service is normally offered. Please note that for some more valuable items Royal Mail’s Signed For or Guaranteed Next Day delivery or International Signed For may be the only options available in order to ensure adequate insurance in case of loss or damage.
 
International buyers please note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or P&P charges but are buyer’s responsibility - please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.
 
Despatch:
 
We normally despatch posted items the within three working days of receiving cleared payment but if you are in a particular hurry for an item please get in touch before bidding or buying to let us know.
 
Glass and Mirrors are not insured at all by the delivery companies we use. If you decide you would like a mirror or glass item (including glazed art), this is at the buyer's risk. We will not refund for broken glass in transit. Please be assured that we will however package any such items in a way to minimise this risk.
 
TIMINGS AND COLLECTION OF YOUR ITEM
 
We are a small family business, with no facility to store your purchases for a long time.
 
All items must be collected within 7 days unless you have contacted us to make alternative arrangements before purchasing.
 
Items left in our unit for more than seven days without agreement will be liable to a £3 per day storage charge.
 
If we have no communication from you in 7 days, an unpaid item case will be raised and the item will be re-listed.
 
If you have paid for your item and have not picked it up within 7 days, with no communication through eBay to indicate your intentions , we reserve the right to refund your money and re list the product.
