An excellent game all about court room drama, the whole series of phoenix wright is, if you like one you'll like them all, I can't wait to see if the rumours are true and they are making another game int the Phoenix wright collection for the 3DS
I bought the Japanese import many years go and sold it on, but decided that, like a favourite film, I really wanted to replay it and so bought the European version. There is the odd mistranslation/typo from translation, but these are few and far between. As a sequel to Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Justice For All is a very strong game with 4 interesting cases. The first case is a good first introduction to people who haven't played the first game. For those of you who have played it, the beginning may be slow but the case soon warms up and the real criminal is easy to hate. Case 2 has many strengths, one of which is letting you delve into the mysterious Fey clan and their strange abilities. The new prosecutor, Franziska von Karma, is fun to go up against in court with her whip, especially with her absolute hatred for Phoenix (for reasons I will not spoil but will be obvious for people who've played the previous game). Pearl, Maya's cousin, is a very cute addition and is hard to hate. The new gameplay from the 'magatama' lets you know when characters are lying or hiding something when you are investigating and is a very good addition. Watch out with the court record though, because you can now present people's profiles when talking to characters, which I kept forgetting about and got me stuck a few times. The third case is the weakest, but still has it's good moments and is still worth playing. It takes you to a circus where you have to defend an eccentric magician against the prosecution of Franziska. Unfortunately, some of the characters are hard to like and discovering the criminal somewhat lacks the usual satisfaction you get from the other Phoenix Wright cases. The final case welcomes back a few well loved characters from the first game and brings up a deeper storyline than any case you will have played before, developing Phoenix's character and introducing some love juicy dilemmas. Highly enjoyable. Overall, the game is not the best of the original Phoenix Wright trilogy, but it is definitely good fun and develops many characters from the first game as well as introducing loads of great new ones.Read full review
