    Looks good but a little let down by build quality

    This tool chest looks really good, the wood is nicely finished. It is however a little let down by build quality. Some of the screws and fixings werent fitted securely. The drawers run on flimsy wooden runners which may be prone to wear. The drawer bottoms are hardboard and not the most substantial. Basically it looks really good but I doubt it would hold up to much hard use. Not bad value at around £80.

    Bought this as a reconditioned item, looks good and functions but end finish could be better lots of draws not finished well and some machine routers Mark's behind pull out work service, for price I paid ok but at the new price I would expect a bit better finish Dave

    Tool storage case

    Use it for lathe tools etc. Very useful, fairly well constructed but think it may be improved by having dividers in small drawers running front to back rather than side to side. Would recommend to my friends.

    A bit of a mess

    At first sight this is a nice looking chest but as soon as you touch it the problems start. There are two locks. One didn't work and the other literally fell off when I tried to open it. The lid does not fit properly, nor anything else. Most of the drawers stick and needed to be shaved and sanded to make them work. The baize lining in the drawers was not properly stuck down and needed repair in several places. In total I had to spend about two hours correcting the faults. Overall It's a bit of a mess that could have been perfect with a little attention to detail and proper quality control. I'm very disappointed.

    Good value for money.

    Generally well made and a very convenient size for practical use and storage. The only negative is that the drawer bottoms are a bit insecure.... easily remedied by a few extra staples or pins. Otherwise it's a really good piece of kit and well worth the money. I'm thinking of buying another one for use as a craft/sewing box.
