Good service, quick delivery. However item was described as "very good" and I would describe it as.. fair (see photos). I guess this is reflected in the price but probably wouldn't have bought in this condition if I'm being honest.

Great seller! Item arrived on time and was well packaged. If I was to have one niggle about this item, it is that, in the description it states that all pages will be free from markings. However, there were pages within this book that had been highlited by the previous owner. Other than that though, I am very satisfied and will definitely buy from this seller again.

  • A shilling for candles by Josephine Tey

This book is an intriguing crime mystery. You are kept guessing till the very last page and lots of red herrings are used to keep up the excitement. Inspector Grant has as much character and depth as Morse or Dalgleish with a lot more modesty. Jospehine Tey is a much neglected author. Her mystery stories are original and intriguing. Her characterisation is excellent and she creates the atmosphere of the 1930's perfectly. It is a shame her reputation is overshadowed by other crime writers. I've frequently seen her plot lines used by modern authors without any acknowledgement of their source.
