I wanted to put my foot in the Voip water and came across this device by chance. Not only is it a brilliant price this one came pre-programmed to link with a SIP line provider offering a free trial subscription. It can easily be re-set to work with any other SIP service but that presumes you have some experience of programming the settings. It worked perfectly out of the box and a quick exchange of emails instantly put me in touch with the SIP company and I was able to add value to my tests. I needed to find out how SIP connects with my existing Panasonic DECT hub and my broadband - and the only way find to find out was to try. It has been totally reliable and two weeks on I know a lot more about SIP - so I am happy.

Does the job in terms of converting a traditional phone to work as VOIP. Note the set-up work takes some effort. I needed a factory reset before I could go into the software and reassign the server to the one my VOIP provider required. Once done everything has worked fine.

Not the easiest device to configure (comes set up mainly for telephone networks in North America) but there are guides on the internet and once you sort out the options to change its not so bad. Still evaluating, but seems to be doing the job so far.

I bought a phone to ATA adaptor (to fit a BT compatible line connector) to make it usable. The instructions are terrible but via YouTube etc you can make sense of it all. Finding the IP address took some working out. Once up and running it works well. The outgoing call tone crackles like an old vinyl record, but when connected the call quality is good. Having said all of the above it is a good gadget and good value.
