    Family Favorite!

    This has been a family favorite for years. Our first one is falling apart after so much use, and I have now bought another one to be used by my grandchildren when they visit me!! Quite a few of the stories have really good themes that can be used for discussion with kids during or after your read-aloud time..... perseverance, faithfulness, be content, etc.

    A great collection of some of the best from Seuss!

    This book is a great collection of the best from Dr. Seuss. Its cover is coloful and is typical Seuss, and the fact that all the books are together in one volume make it good for some, but could have a downside for others. I like having this book in my middle school classroom, especially since it contains all of the best from Dr. Seuss. All of the best stories are there, and I can use it to demonstrate rhyme schemes when I need to. However, I have chosen to purchase these stories separately when it comes to my toddler. This anthology is way to large for him to handle and enjoy. Also, he would want ALL of the stories read to him at one sitting, and I can only tolerate one or two Dr. Seuss books at a time. Perhaps when he gets older, this is a book he'll enjoy. For now, ...

    Dr. Seuss ROCKS!

    Dr. Seuss is a classic. A great tool for teaching children and also adult non-natives to deal with the English language. Great messages for kids and adults, both.

    Six by Seuss (Hardcover, 2007)

    I love this book! It is a compilation of 6 children's classics by Theodore Geissel (Dr Seuss)-One stop shopping so to speak. I purchased it because I am a teacher, and every year I host a Seussical day. It usually falls at the end of a marking period when the children need to make up some accelerated reader points. By reading aloud The 500 Hats of Bartholomew, Horton, and To Think That I Saw it ON Mullberry Street, they are able to take a reading test on their auditory comprehension to score some additional points. Not having to scramble to borrow from the limited supply in the library, borrow from other teachers, or purchase 3 individual ones that would take up valuable space, I purchased this. It is a lovely book honoring some of the treasured works of this truly treasured author.
