this game packs in a multitude of characters to try out from the usual suspects like the fantastic 4 to the most recognizable characters in the marvel universe like spidey and wolverine. the gameplay is very easy to learn and fun to execute. basically just press 2 or 3 buttons in a row to execute a combo or button mash to achieve the same result. in my opinion, next to the marvel vs series, this is the best marvel non-fighting game of any genre that has ever come out. the cutscenes are amazing, the graphics aren't spectacular, but in a game like this, there isn't a whole lot of landscape to work with which isn't a bad thing, but if it were marvel oblivion edition then the graphics and landscape would be more important. great game, easily worth the 30 dollars or so brand new if any seller on here is charging more for a game 2 years old from any genre unless it's extremely rare shame on them, just get it used from an honest seller. well worth it for any marvel fan. B if you have an xbox 360 go get the gold edition, it includes the hulk and venom unfortunately ps3 owners don't get any exclusives so if you have both get the xbox 360 version for the gold only otherwise u can always download the character pack off live, not a fan of xbox but in this case it's not going to make or break me, i recommend the gold if you have one.Read full review
I have a PS4 as well, but there is no Marvel game out currently. The Good - One of if not the best Marvel game for PS3. Multiple Characters to play and unlock. Heroes are upgradable. with increasing experience levels and purchases with gold. supervillains. Multiple environments. Mulitple mid-level and end-stage bosses. Enjoyable storyline. Multiplayer. The Bad - Graphics are PS3. I wish the PS4 downloadable version were still available in the PS Store. Linear gameplay. The Xtra - if you are frustrated with difficulty advancing in the game, you can search the internet for cheat codes to make it easier

Marvel Alliance for PS3 is a great game that will be very difficult for you to put down. +PROS: Amazing graphics in an HD display, I personally notice a huge difference from playing this game on other consoles. It also has a very good storyline that keeps you interested. Many playable characters from the start. One cool feature is how you can create a team (group) such as the XMen, Fantasic4, etc. Its like creating your own comic book dream team. You can mix any of your playable characters and give them their own logo and team name. -CONS: There are certain points in the game where you have to use the motion sensor in the sixaxis controller, most of the time it is wayyyy too difficult to complete these tasks (so turn off this feature). The game almost seems too easy after the first couple hours of playing. On the "normal" level, I didnt die until 8 hours into the game (sometimes you just feel like your characters are invincible). In the end, if you are into action/rpg games, this is a game you must try out. Especially for those who are comic book fans.Read full review
This game is really good game if you would like have some clean childhood fun. However the game becomes extremely repetitive. Basically 90% of the game, you just walk through some rooms, beat up a bunch of enemies, and continue on to the next room. You do this several times, before you can get to a boss. Then you repeat the whole process again and again, until you finish the game. My brother and I finished the game on normal difficulty in 3 days. (Hard difficulty is locked, until you finish on normal) Positive - Cut Scenes have excellent graphics - Game play graphics are reasonable - Create your own teams - Play the story line in Co-Op - Loading times are decent - Choose the abilities you want to use and upgrade Negative - I can count the amount many people are playing online with my hands - Online, is just playing the story line again, but with up to 4 real people on your team - Fighting is really repetitive, cannot stress this enough. - Has to save the Game twice, once for your position in the game, and then save again for all your items.Read full review
I was a huge fan of the two previous X-Men Legends games, playing through both with a friend on the couch. But with M:UA, I find myself playing this alone more than cooperatively. Does this affect the over all experience? Yes, it does. As a single player game, your enjoyment will probably depend on how big a fan you are of comic books, especially Marvel books. After all this is basically Gauntlet dressed up in spandex, and it's a good time sink when you've nothing else to do. The wealth of (playable) heroes means you're sure to find one or more to your liking and the (optional) auto-leveling can take away a lot of the hassle of leveling up yourself, not to mention the time saved. It's in multiplayer where this game shines, though. Grab a friend (or three) and this game is something else entirely. It's just awesome fun.Read full review
