      Up Close and Photogenic

      This set of four close-up macro filters (lenses) is a quick and convenient way to reduce the focal length of any lens and get in for those tight closeup shots you want. The set includes +1, +2, +4, & +10 diopter lenses in convenient metal screw-in mounts. The set I bought had 77mm ring mounts - using my set of adapter rings I can use these same filters with any lens I own, right down to 58mm. These lenses / filters are made by Vivitar - enough said. The lenses are top quality optical glass, clear and with sharp resolution. The metal ring mounts are sturdy and have clean threads that mount easily. While I prefer using extension tubes for closeup work (no glass, no optical distortion at all), these filters provide the same closeup factors and are far faster and easier to use (with the ...

      Need to learn to use them.

      Like all supplementary lenses, when added to a regular lens, particularly at closer distances, these tend to produce chromatic aberration which is difficult to correct in post production. But all-in-all, they are good lenses. Need to learn to used them to their best advantage.
