Notes
Like most writers, I fell in love with music as a child. I recall lying in bed, late at night, listening to my parents playing Hank Williams, George Jones and Johnny Cash records, until I fell asleep. My older brother and I, started playing guitar when I was twelve years old. My first guitar was a Sears Silvertone. I began winning talent shows in high school and college, with my own songs and there were times that I dreamed of a musical career, but raising a family became my primary focus...but I never stopped playing my guitar, writing songs and playing in the praise and worship band in Church. My son Joshua and I, have been playing music together, on and off, for thirty years and after he married Brittny, it allowed us to do some great things together. After all these years, we were finally able to be near enough to one another to collaborate on some new material, so we spent two years on this project, Revelation Road. Jon Goad, owner of Silent Sky Studios and drummer on this project, introduced me to the one and only Tim Crouch, who agreed to play the fiddle and the project was beautifully complete. I believe we've provided a medium for others to escape into the secret places of the heart and once there, open those secret places up to the changing power of God, because none of us are getting out of this thing alive...
