To create the unique tonality that the FZ-2 is known for, Boss combines two distinct fuzzes. There is the traditional fuzz, which recalls the sound of vintage rock-and-roll. There is also a more modern fuzz, which adds a contemporary gloss to the old-school vibe. This combination of fuzz ensures that guitarists can enjoy up-to-date music as well as old-fashioned tunes. Because this device can be adjusted and calibrated to recreate a variety of styles, it can be counted on to produce the perfect tone. This Boss pedal has several different selection controls that help guitarists create their ideal style. There is the Fuzz 1 knob, which produces a standard fuzz that accentuates harmonics. There’s also the Fuzz 2 knob, which creates a full-bodied tone that brings the lower frequency range to the fore. Guitarists can adjust these two knobs to maximize the function of their FZ-2. There is also a Gain Boost function. This control can be used to boost the power of an instrument. It can also be used to alter the amount of distortion, which can greatly affect tone and style. The FZ-2 pedal has knobs to adjust bass and treble as well. Use the Bass knob to enhance or cut the lower frequency. To emphasize higher frequency portions, guitarists can use the Treble knob.To better calibrate these mode selection controls, guitarists can use the Gain knob. When either of the Fuzzes is selected, this knob can be used to adjust the distortion depth. When the Gain Boost mode is selected, it can be used to calibrate the extent of the enhancement. By adjusting these various mode selection knobs, guitarists can create a variety of tones. They can emphasize the upper or lower range alike. It’s easy to create fat sounds that accentuate the treble end and enhance the depth of bass notes. They can achieve buoyant, warm tones and vintage classic rock tunes. They can also unleash the classic notes of popular pedals past, thanks to the careful design. This sturdy Boss pedal was designed to be taken on the road. It measures approximately 3 inches by 5 inches by 2.5 inches, which makes it simple to slip into a travel bag. With its compact design, 15-ounce weight, and easy to replace battery, this pedal is built to last years. The FZ-2 is powered by either an AC adapter jack or a battery pack. With the AC adapter, guitarists can be assured that power will last during a performance. If freedom of motion is a concern, the guitarists can use alkaline batteries. They can be replaced in a relatively simple process. Users merely need to remove the thumb screw holding the pedal closed and place the appropriate batteries in the housing.

    The best 1960's & 70's Fuzz sound for the price, and quality.

    The Boss Fuzz sounds like the original Fuzz used in many of the 1960's guitar sound, and also many different settings you can adjust for the best sound in your guitar set-up. I would recommend this guitar sound pedal. It was the best choice I made.

    Sweet

    Read reviews and some were good and some were complaining on this stomp box’s tone. I can tell you there is nothing wrong with this pedal! The Fuzz options (3 different ones to choose) are all really nice! Really happy with this addition to my Boss board.

    Great Effects Pedal.....Be Careful About Odd Visitors Wearing Mississippi String Tie

    Straightforward controls. Knobs are just right in terms of sensitivity. Using it with several of my acoustic guitars for “fuzzed up” blues playing. After playing some Delta blues some dude named Legbah showed up at the back door and asked me to sign a recording deal.....he said it would be good for my soul. He seems sketchy but the sound using the pedal is great! I think I will pass on the contract and keep practicing. Thanks Boss!!!
