    Surprisingly fast and quiet

    I set it up the same way I did to the hard drive I bought in the past except this one is 16TB instead of smaller ones. It works fine just like the others. The access speed is much faster than the old ones. So far so good, I have no complain.

    too soon to tell I,m using it as an active search drive so the noise is not bother sum. fast i'm using as a usb 3.1 external drive looking for a faster way to use a 3.5 as a main drive on Mac mini even if it uses Duck tape, Green or Red? Reliable? I just purchased a refurbished 16tb drive $250 so I will have 2 Mac mini computers for experimenting any input advice will be welcomed

    Seagate Iron Wolf 116 TB HDD Delivers

    This is a (currently) large capacity 3.5 inch hard drive, from Seagate made with the extra quality of their "Iron Wolf" version for increased reliability. It has behaved exactly as expected. Since the active life of this drive is expected to be more than 5 years, my use of it for one month has not tested that endurance record. It is part of my backup system, and has reduced the amount of time required for backup.
