This 3 hour movie is based on Laura Ingalls Wilder books, THE LONG WINTER, LITTLE TOWN ON THE PRAIRIE, THESE HAPPY GOLDEN YEARS and ON THE WAY HOME. If you are expecting the movie to stick to the EXACT copy of the books....don't. The writers and directors took liberty to put in their own versions of different scenes.....as most movies do.
