    A New Look at the Life of a Bumbler in Law Enforcement.

    Farce is a great form of comedy. We are so accustomed to the by-the-book police officer, it is a relief to find the bumbler who manages to be successful in spite of himself. We are accustomed to the professional hitman so the notion of one who stops an assassination in order to join his victim in singing "The Way We Were" prepares us for a battle that does not use guns, but electric toothbrushes, hair dryers, and, finally, a fire hose.

    A MOVIE FOR SLAPSTICK MOVIE FANS

    It is a great slapstick movie. There are lots of sight gags and puns. If you like the Pink Panther movies, you will like the series of Naked Gun movies. It is funny throughout most of the movie, sometimes in the background of a scene.
