    Spartacus, needless for me to put my spin on tihs, it is wonderful, powerful film, the narrative is fascinating for the most part.

    Ustinov narration is especially witty, insightful and really takes us behind the curtain. Some of the technical explanations may become perplexing for the layman. Watching the remastered version makes quite a difference if you haven't seen it. Again, hearing Douglas,Fast(who was blacklisted) along with the others is quite fascinating.

    Spartacus - Beautiful Criterion Collection

    I gave this 4 out of 5 stars only because the Blu-Ray 2K transfer is so much better. But Criterion always delivers the very best, and their handling of Kubrick's 1960 Spartacus is a great example of the quality releases they produce. The second disc is packed with a sumptous collection of extras that, for myself, made this purchase a must all by itself. Waiting for the proper 2K and 4K Criterion Editions to come out!

    Spartacus is one of my ultimate favorite movies. A classic and ahead of it's time with being a history piece with natural acting and not campy.

    Great movie. Great script by Trumbo who told mccarthy & the red scare nancy boys to choke on his rooster. Did time and was never to work again....until Kirk & Otto said “this will not stand”. America should learn from it’s past. We got one party bowing at the feet of the idolator, screaming he can do no wrong, then throwing every founding principle of it under the bus.
