Seminal Arthouse Classic
Others have commented on the movie itself, and the bottom line is, those who can't appreciate it have no business watching it or reviewing it. Stick with the Hollywood garbage. To talk about the quality of the Bluray, it is a treat to see this neon spectacle in all its colorful grandeur. And the wide-screen picture is a revelation. The included DVD is a nice extra, for when you want to show it to friends who don't have a Bluray player, as a lot of people don't. The only negative thing I can find is that new artwork on the box. It's awful. Luckily the classic VHS and original movie poster artwork is on the reverse side. I can't believe people are paying an extra $100 for that eyesore of a slipcover. Anyway grab your copy of Liquid Sky before it goes out of print. I think this is bound to be a collectors item.
