A Great TV Show Then and Now
This set of Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In is great. I have watched the first 6 episodes of season 1 as well as the Pilot that was included with disc 1. It brings back great memories. Regrettable purchase...... love the show, poor quality dvds.
The show Laugh in was Unbelievably awesome. The quality of these videos so far and we're in to season 3 are bad quality, pixel problems, buffeting problems, inconvenient pauses, repetitive. Still funny after all these years
I was a regular viewer of "Laugh-In" from the very first episode (Am I dating myself?) They were light years ahead of their time, and they did material that one couldn't begin to get away with today! Hours of fun if you can take it....
There's a lot to like about Laugh-In and this package gives all of that along with interviews and commentary from cast members and producers. Some, or maybe a lot, of the references are things that were current at the time so younger folks may not relate unless they are familiar with the history of the 60s and early 70s. That said, there is also a lot of timeless silliness that anyone with a warped sense of humor can enjoy. Be warned, this is not a politically correct series so, if you are easily offended this is not for you. The only problem I had with this package is that one of the DVDs came with a scratch. Since the package was sealed it had to have happened in the manufacturing process. Other than that, all seems to be good and there are a lot of hours (days?) of fun viewing ahead.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Memory Lane
It was great to see the show I loved growing up, I doubt I saw all of the episodes when it aired since there was no way to record back then. The packaging of the product was like new all of the booklets were included etc. The video quality was as good as could be for dvd considering the age of the film it came from. Awesome cool enertaining
I grew up with these series they were so funny and the it back then, dealt with the issues of the going one then at the time. I loved Teresa Graves who was on there before she ever Get Christie Love mostly I love When Teresa Graves had her hair long, looked real nice dark brown sexy and gorgeous that wayI would love to find a movie she did around 1970 hope she has her hair all nice and long whether the movies a comedy or drama or action pack or thriller horror.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Funny then, hilarious now.
I was a Boy Scout back in the late 60's and the weekly meetings ended at 7:30 pm. If one of my parents wasn't there to pick me up by 7:40 I went into panic mode because LAUGH IN started at 8:00 and I HAD to see every second of it. I missed quite a few opening sequences and some entire episodes BUT NOW I HAVE THEM ALL! Ah, the memories. Dan and Dick, Judy Carne, Ruth Buzzie, JoAnne Worley, Arte Johnson, Goldie Hawn, and, of course, Morgo the friendly Drelb. It's interesting to watch the development of some of the characters like Johnson's dirty-old-man persona (Tyrone) and how the writers finally "teamed" him up with Buzzie's frumpy "Gladys" (in season 2) in what would become one of the most classic routines EVER.
