    A great router, very small, neat, and as powerful as many others for most purposes.

    A very neat little router with no dangling power cord that plugs right into a wall socket. The EU/UK version 2.1 (which this is) has more flash memory, 8GB. Beware the version 2 and the China version 1 which have only 4 gig and 2 gig, respectively. As a result of the ample flash memory, I have been able to flash this router with custom DD-WRT software, install OpenVPN on it, and it serves very well as an OpenVPN wireless access point and router. The speed is perfectly adequate for streaming video. There is a powered USB port, and with a modern 256GB USB stick, you can use it as a file server. It fully supports multiple SSIDs after flashing, and if you are Linux savvy, you can even dedicate one SSID to the VPN and others to non-VPN routing.     unlike most home tech, which claims to be easy to use, this is. plug in, type in your password and your done!

    unlike most IT components I've purchased over the years this unit does not come with software that refuses to run for some mysterious reason or compatibility issues or hidden complications not apparent when purchasing. this is how all IT products for the home should be. plug in switch on and watch it work flawlessly. It's a great product and a sensible one too. excellent value for money. the downside is singular. As the unit juts out from the wall the is a chance of it being knocked so using a socket under a table for instance, to protect it, is a good idea.

    Good stuff!

    Excellent buy! I wanted to use this in two different places: one set up was easy and the second, as I had expected, far more complicated because of overlapping ISPs. However the live chat with TP-Link sorted out the problem and now it works beautifully.
