Far Eastern Packaging-English Language
I lost my original box set in a house move and saw this advertised as Chinese. The pics seemed to say English audio and since the price was very reasonable I thought I’d give it a punt with nothing to lose at less than a fiver inc delivery. I mean 15 dvds for £3! What a pleasant surprise. These are English and you can turn subtitles on and off! Ok so they’re not region 2 and are NTSC rather than PAL but that makes no difference if you have a multi-region player. Are they genuine? That’s a good question. The writing looks more Japanese than Chinese to me but I could be wrong and there’s an English spelling mistake in the text on the back of the box if you look for it. But... the quality is exactly the same as my English box set and all 15 discs are there plus this takes up less space on ... Classic Napoleonic War Series. Colourful Uniforms and interesting plots make it an easy watch. Sean Bean is terrific as the working class soldier promoted through the ranks. The late Pete Postlewaite was an excellent villain and the singing of old English Ballads adds to the atmosphere.
