    The definitive version of this work

    This is possibly THE definitive recording of this musical oevre. It was on LP waaay back in the late 1950s or early 1960s. It was my father's favorite rendition of this work. It is my favorite. My original CD was getting worse for wear, having been played in car CD players, and handled by other than I, not to my satisfaction. Thus disk 1 of my original copy got scratched so that it was skipping. This is SO much my favorite, and driving music for going to family for Christmas or Easter meals, for both me and my wife, that I got two copies on eBay. I got a 'new, still shrinkwrapped and sealed' CD, and a 'used, VY good', that was totally good and unscratched.
