Unlike traditional genre novelists who obsess mainly over every hairpin plot turn, Johnson's books are also preoccupied with the mystery of his characters' psyches."- Los Angeles Times "Johnson knows the territory, both fictive and geographical, and tells us about it in prose that crackles."-Robert B. Parker "The characters talk straight from the hip and the Wyoming landscape is its own kind of eloquence."- The New York Times "[Walt Longmire] is an easy man to like…Johnson evokes the rugged landscape with reverential prose, lending a heady atmosphere to his story."- The Philadelphia Inquirer "Stepping into Walt's world is like slipping on a favorite pair of slippers, and it's where those slippers lead that provides a thrill. Johnson pens a series that should become a 'must' read, so curl up, get comfortable, and enjoy the ride."- The Denver Post "A winning piece of work…There's a convincing feel to the whole package: a sense that you're viewing this territory through the eyes of someone who knows it as adoring lover and skeptical onlooker at the same time."- The Washington Post "Johnson's pacing is tight and his dialogue snaps."- Entertainment Weekly "Truly great. Item was shipped quickly and packaged well. Item was exactly as described, brand new and it was even sealed. The seller also messaged me as soon as the purchase went through so communication was great. This was the last book in the series that I needed and to be able to find it in such great condition and at a great cost was unexpected. Highly recommend this seller and will definitely buy from again in the future.

Wait For Signs is a great read!

This collection of Sheriff Walt Longmire stories is a compilation of some olde, some new, and some "borrowed" from the annual Post-Its that author Craig Johnson sends out to his readers. If you are new to the Longmire Mysteries, "Wait For Signs" is a gentle introduction to Walt's world, and a lighter side that will sometimes have you chuckilng and other times scratching your head, wondering why you didn't see THAT coming. Highly recommended, you will love it!

  • 12 short stories about Sheriff Longmire & best friend Standing Bear.

Great author with interesting books. Fully developed characters, with plots that surprise & twist & turn. Beautiful descriptions of mountain, streams, old dusty towns in north west states. I liked the TV series of Longmire & wanted more. The books are even better. His short stories are just as interesting & surprising as the long books.

  • Short Story Feast

Twelve great small bites from rural Wyoming Sheriff Walt Longmire's life. If you love engaging fiction, you will be swept away by Craig Johnson's crisp yet picturesque scenery that is the home to his very realistic characters. No matter your genre preferences, you should find yourself transported by these stories to fictional Absaroka County in Wyoming and enjoying your time spent hanging out with some great folks you'll be happy to have met. This county may not be on any map, but Craig Jonson definitely makes it real.

  • Good Stuff

Many calls that night did Scrooge make with the spirit of Christmas present. Down among the miners who labored in the bowels of the earth. And out to sea among the sailors at ther watch. Dark, ghostly figures and their several stations.
