More stable, easier to customize, and more polished than I expected.
I had ordered a new ASUS ROG G551JW gaming laptop that came with Windows 10 pre-installed. I did not want Windows 10 as my OS and planned to immediately replace it with a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate. Much to my chagrin, ASUS did not support Windows 7 installations for the laptop. That is right, no drivers, no support. I decided that I would give Windows 10 a fair try before I returned the laptop. For the first two days, I hated it. But as I fumbled my way around trying to figure out how to do this, or that, or some other thing- I began to find some pretty nice features in the OS that I found useful. After a couple of weeks, I found that the thing that I just couldn't deal with in Windows 10 was the way Microsoft forced updates without you having any control over them. I found that Windows ... I found that Windows 10 Pro, gave control back to the user in this regard. Well, by that time I had decided to keep the laptop, and chose to invest in a copy of Windows 10 Professional retail. I have been using the OS for several weeks now and I will be staying with Windows 10 and no regrets about it. I won't take the time to detail my reasons here specifically for that decision, other than to say that dealing with the inconvenience of learning the new OS is worth it. I didn't plan on using Windows 10, but now that it has been given (not willingly) a fair chance- I find that I am actually liking it. My advice, stick with what you like as long as you can- but when the time comes to upgrade to Windows 10- have no fear- it will be alright. And maybe even better than you could have guessed. Stable, user friendly mostly- if given the chance, and best of all, full of cool little improvements that I at least, found very much worthwhile. Not perfect, but better than I expected- FOUR out of five stars is about right for me. I expect that it will receive updates to make it even better as time passes. But for now- yes; a 4 out of 5 stars it is.

Install was quick and easy. Has some Windows 7 familiarity, while it has the newness of a refreshed OS. Have yet to dig into more setting pages. But, so far so good!

This is official Win 10 Home on USB thumb drive. Often Microsoft products do not work right out of the box! Often issues with verifying product key! In this case I downloaded Win10 Home English from Microsoft site and then used this product key to install. It worked fine but it is a long process of installing and updating. I recommend this product.
