Pentax got it right when they produced this lens
I cannot say enough good things about this lens. This lens is exemplary in the Big 3 categories of a lens. First the lens produces beautiful images. Second the lens is one of Pentax's WR lenses. They are durable and protected against the elements which will result in years of getting images. Third due to the fast f/2.8 you get fast auto-focus and if you use manual focusing you get a bright viewfinder to do so. This lens reminds me of the "good old days" of lens manufacturing. (with exception of no aperture ring, camera controls aperture). If you find one at a good price, buy it. You will not be disappointed. The new version of this lens labeled AW retails for over $500 (from what I have seen on other auctions)

Wonderful macro lens from Pentax
A great Pentax Lens. My first camera was a Pentax 50 years ago. While I have owned many cameras over the years, the new digital Pentax gear is still in my bag. I still buy from Asia, as I originally did.
