Dependable thermostats
Model version is getting old but I already have them installed all over the house. If any of the thermostats fail its great to have backup replacements handy which saves time. Needed a quick fix
I needed a replacement cover. I already had this unit in place and it was difficult to get the cover off in order to replace the batteries. Don't know why cover so hard to get off. Maybe it had just been a very long time. However the cover hit the floor and that stuck the HEAT to the ON position. No getting off it. The button was shoved in and couldn't be slid over or pulled out. So that meant controlling heat in winter by dropping/lowering the heat setting instead of doing ON/OFF. Of course, with spring/summer approaching need to get to other cycle. Relieved I was able to locate a (used) unit off EBAY so I could replace the cover. Importantly the unit cover does communicate w the wired in backing. So I didn't have to replace that. Something else, the batteries were supposed to be low - to cause this problem to begin with - but I have a battery tester at home and it was showing strong batteries. Just sayin'. From my former cover I knew (though my house is) Heat=Gas & A/C=Electric the inside setting is towards GAS since it's an independent routing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Easy to program thermostat. Fits original model Pro 4000 mount.
I replaced all four existing thermostats with the same unit. Oddly the units replaced began to fail after 8 years. In side of three months, three of four units needed to be replaced. The replacements worked. Special note: It takes about five minutes of wait time for these new thermostats to "recognize" their installation parameters before they begin working. Reliable and Affordable Heat Control
Purchased this to replace a faulty faceplate. Have had three of these units since doing a home remodel in 2009-2011. They work well and are easy to maintain. But, be sure to replace the AA batteries on a regular basis or there could be issues related to battery leakage...as in my case! All in all, these were a welcome improvement to my residential needs.
