The plain ones do look slightly neater, but the crystals are only held on by glue and so there is more chance of them coming loose, they need to be kept really dry and away from moisture. The claw ones do not rely on glue so they last much longer. Message me next time you buy and I will include an extra 'claw' nose stud for you to try free of charge.
