Premium price, sub-par product
For a premium priced product, I am very disappointed. While the saw is well made and more than powerful enough to do what it is intended to do it is let down by by poor build tolerances. On my saw the table is not flat, so when making a cross cut it is impossible to get a 90 degree cut on the end of your stock. It is so bad if you put a straight edge on the table and hold it down at one end it is raised by around 5mm at the other end of the table. The blade is not set at 90 degrees to the mitre slots, it is around 1mm out front to back of the blade. There are no adjustments possible to correct this. The mitre gauge is so sloppy in the mitre slot it is useless for making accurate cuts. The fence, while sturdy, does move when tightening the clamp, so the precision movements and settings are ... Best Small Tabletop Sawbench That You Can Buy !
Excellent quality, as per usual with Proxxon tools.( expensive, yes, but worth every penny! ) Pros: This updated version of the best mini tablesaw on the market has vastly improved rip fencing and now has a really useful mitre fence extension as well. Supplied blade is great quality, and nice to see it is now the version with more teeth :) Glad to see that the arbor is the same diameter as my older version :) I made adapters to fit the standard arbor that allow me to use engineers slitting saw blades up to 120mm in diameter. I work mainly with various very dense/fine grained hardwoods ( Box, Pear, Apple etc ) and having the capability to use very fine blades that can have up to 120/140 teeth, as well as coarser grades, which do give a superior finish with the very small sizes of wood ... Excellent quality, as per usual with Proxxon tools.( expensive, yes, but worth every penny! ) Pros: This updated version of the best mini tablesaw on the market has vastly improved rip fencing and now has a really useful mitre fence extension as well. Even the rather 'coarse' standard blade ( to me, lol! ) leaves a very good finish to the cuts, minimal cleanup/sanding is required. Of course you do need 'zero clearance inserts for the blade/s, but they are very easy to make yourself :) Cons: I am mourning the loss of a variable spindle speed on the sawblade arbor. ( I have the earlier version that has variable speed as well )

My score for 'easy to use' is not a criticism'. The scale of the machine is the principal difficulty and I'm sure I'll get used to it. The Manual is also not easy to use; although the translation appears good, it doesn't always make sense. For instance it shows a ruler scale variously running from from 0-24,18-0 (missing out 17), then up again from 0. My machine's ruler numbers quite differently from either. The manual shows, in Fig 12, a physically impossible position and use for the end stop. I imagine these are the result of not updating the manual when the product changes, but shoddy, no? What surprised me was the inaccuracy of calibration. The tilt scale was 1.5° out at the 45° end. The degree markings do not extend beyond 45° so you are left to mark the point where it ... Extending the degree markings beyond 45 would at least make this easier to manage. At the 0 end it was 0.5° out; easier to deal with. After all Proxxon sell the table on its accuracy. And a stick-on label, even if it's made of metal, will never be accurate. Everyone mentions the slackness between the guide channels and the angle stop so I was expecting it. But I simply do not understand why all that play is built into a precision table. Or why the angle stop itself is so flimsy. Yes it is well designed, but well manufactured? Less so. Powerful? Enough, but only just. It struggles with mitres, and I haven't yet used anything harder than chestnut. The advice was to buy a Byrnes and maybe I should have. But I'm mean, see?

Wish now I hadn`t bought it.
The saw arrived quickly and was well packaged. The reason I bought it was to make picture frames and other small odds and ends,as it is only a mini table saw and I have a very small shed. I found it very difficult to get an accurate cut,,cross,mitre and rip.
