I love this movie! It takes me back to the eighties when things just seemed simpler and more fun. Anthony Edward's character's (Jonathan) adventures through France, Germany, and finally the US, are extremely entertaining and his interactions with Linda Fiorentino's character are funny and sexy as she expertly manipulates him into becoming her patsy, eventually getting caught up in her own trap. Lots of adventure, danger and suspense as he becomes the target of the East German police in the era of East/West Germany and the Berlin Wall, and an eventual twist towards the end make this a very engrossing movie. It's a classic!

A nice paced action adventure movie. Good music and strong story. Jokes are good, not cheesy or punny. Great movie to watch or just to have in the background as noise when cooking.

This was one of my favorite movies from the 1980s. It starts out as two college paintball pranksters take off for Paris to get laid. Manolo is immediately successful, but Jonathan (Anthony Edwards) is not until he meets up with a mysterious Sasha (Linda Fiorentino), who eventually tells him that she is a spy. She gives Jonathan what he wants, but then gets him so involved in her life that they venture into East Germany (the DDR). Jonathan is so smitten with this woman that eventually he is on the run with film in his apple strudel and she with tears in her eyes tells him on the telephone to run as fast as he can back across the border. I won't tell you about the end, but it does not turn out like you think that it would. In fact, it is rather silly. However, the ride is so worthwhile, I am overlooking the ending. You should see this movie just to see how Anthony Edwards got started before the ER television show and before "Revenge of the Nerds."Read full review
Cold war story, so be prepared for KGB and east German police. Otherwise excellent story.

I watched the movie when it came out and loved it! Didn't know that the lead actor would continue to be in many more roles in film and tv. The film was easy to follow and had a good story line. I enjoy still today and that is why i wanted the movie in DVD format.
