I don't listen to the radio when I'm working, I prefer audio-books, so this is perfect, though if you wanted radio you could always use a phone with radio. It's built like a tank - much heavier and more solid than I expected. There's a handy slot in the back to slip your phone in - I use an old spare one rather than my main phone. If you're clever, there's room to park the supplied mains adaptor in the back alongside an LXT battery. One minor quibble - the forward and backwards buttons don't work with all applications, but that's not the speaker's fault. It would be nice if the AUX input were inside the rear cover rather than on the side, but I don't use it, so I don't care. Likewise the USB charge output and external power in. Plays for ages on a 4Ah battery - all day at least. If you ... Tough but gentle
I bought this bluetooth speaker mainly for listening to spotify in my garden and garage, and I'm quite impressed. It's of solid construction and very simple to use, with a decent balanced sound with plenty of punch. I like the hidden flap at rear to slide your phone or small device into. Has inputs for 3.5mm jack should you wish to use with non-bluetooth device as well as a USB socket for charging. Also mains adaptor option or plug in slots for Makita battery packs, which seem to last forever!! Excellent site kit
Useful addition to site which does the job nicely. Didn't want the additional cost incurred by the FM or DAB radio as I can get this functionality via the phone anyway. Bluetooth connection works without fault when the phone is stored in the speaker, with the occasional blip in connectivity experienced when further away from the speaker. Would recommend!
