    Sorry but

    This would not thread with the 1971 MGB oil filter housing. It felt like it was turning on the thread, but not easily, and in fact it was cross threading and when I thought I was tightening the filter I was damaging the housing, which has a soft aluminium thread. I’ve now ordered a reconditioned housing unit. MG forums suggest that many filters are now made with poor threads and this was one. It may have been a one-off as there are other good reviews.
