like a spade is needed for digging, this is needed for making easy holes , obviously if there's heavy stones and concrete underneath it's not going to work , but for sand soil and loose Earth it's a revolution , the time and effort it will save you makes the job so easy so enjoyable , i installed 2 fence posts in under 10 minutes with this device, in fact I was so happy with it I even hosed it down after using it , a star buy

Great value for money and DOES work (if used correctly)
Amazing product and made quick work of the 7 post holes i had to dig. It is takes a bit more effort than using a shovel however is a lot quicker. Our area is quite gravelly around 4 inches under the soil, however if you screw a little at a time and remove any bigger stones you comes across, it works well. I cant comment on durability as only used it for this one job, however i believe it will last a while from what i have seen. Only criticism is the handle is only held in place by one screw, which did work loose after a while but just need to nip it back up again. I personally feel the bad reviews were left by people who may have been trying to remove too much soil in one go.
