    • Making sawdust

Quality is great, very solid and easy to adjust. The manufacturer states 50-70cc saw, I will say from experience 50cc is the bare minimum. My saw was a high quality 54cc 3.3hp top end homeowner/entry level professional saw. It had all it wanted to cut 11” planks out of poplar, it took about 5 minutes per 8’ section. It was doing a decent job, but getting pretty hot and used a tank of gas and oil cutting 3 slabs. Because I had no intention of destroying a good saw, it was time to upgrade saws. Now with a 60cc professional 4.5hp saw and a 20” bar, the same 11” poplar plank took 2.5 minutes. An 8’ long 15” wide pine plank took 5 minutes. So I would say at least 4hp, but 5hp wouldn’t hurt either. If you have a large enough saw, it is a fairly inexpensive add on to play with. But if like me, ...

    • Small, lightweight sawmill attachment that does the job well

This is a small, light weight but very well designed sawmill attachment. I wanted a small mill to pair with an electric chainsaw to make useful lumber from downed trees on my property. The Granberg 777 does a great job. Assemble is fairly easy with first class instructions and perfectly fitting parts. You will certainly want a ripping chain for your saw as well.

    • Absolutely the best value.

I’ve seen the other off brand Alaskan sawmills out there and there’s no comparison. The Granberg Alaskan is by far the absolute best chainsaw sawmill value anywhere.

    • Great saw mill

I should’ve bought one along time ago. Now I can build my granddaughter a cedar toy box.
