Usually mounted on the underside of the front bumper - in the case of the E39 it's in front of the right hand side front wheel, on the E46 its on the left hand side. Simply a clip off and on connection. Suitable to replace a faulty sensor where the display is showing an obscure temperature reading such as -40, it will prevent the gong going off every time you turn on the ignition as the car thinks the temperature is below.”
