    First monitor was an old, but excellent design. It has resolution and aspect ratio just as I need them. In comparison with other monitors I have it has much better and more vivid colors.

    Used Monitor with a weakness

    Really good monitor - I bouhgt it as a second one to match the existing one I use. Unfortunately the on/off switch or mains plug connection is faulty, resulting in cut-outs - wel,l it was advertised as 'used'.

    Smooth, reliable and high quality viewing

    I bought this Monitor to replace my aging Iiyama prolite 486 19" after much net research. The Dell's design is pleasing to the eye and the height adjustment is low enough for my needs, as I wear varifocals. Build quality & stand is robust. The connectivity is a slight compromise however, with no HDMI socket, while the USBs are useful particularly those on the edge of the left side of the panel. The custom colour setting I found best for picture quality with green adjusted down to 93%, as recommended by an expert reviewer. The screen is a shade grainy but it does not bother me and stops any reflections in my study. I have recently used this screen for Railworks 3 and the size of the screen and picture quality is natural and detailed, using a ATI Radeon 5770 graphics card. Also, you can ...

    A perfect monitor for the discerning user

    This is a 2012 product - but astounding quality. The extra image size (1920 x 1200 compared to a standard HDTV resolution of 1920 x 1080) makes a surprising difference and the sharpness is amazing. The included soundbar is a worthwhile addition as it makes for as very neat installation.

    Great picture and bigger than the usual 24" makes this an excellent choice.

    Having extensively researched the subject, this monitor was the clear leader in the £200 24" category. In addition, the 16:10 aspect ratio instead of the usual 16:9 gives another 230,000 odd pixels. It has USB sockets (you can never have enough of these) and a very versatile stand, allowing the monitor to be used vertically if required. With incredible colours, it's great for gaming, movies or day to day use. To be fair, I haven't used any comparable monitors, but there's no criticism I can make of this one and would recommend it to anyone.
