If you have a P bass or any bass with an edge, these strings will give you a huge 'grind' a la JJ Burnel, Steve Hanley or Chris Squire. I've tried flats on my Warwick. They feel great, but sound mellower. I use a Darkglass for a touch of dirt, and Rotosound strings for my preferred tone.

I bought these strings for my brothers Jazz Bass project that I successfully completed and wow I want to purchase myself a set of these for my 5 string Jazz Bass... They are very well made and have confirmed that my recommendation was a wise choice!!

I like Rotosound RB45 for their slinky feel which means they are easier to play for long periods of time. They also hold their intonation well which means they last longer giving better value for money.
