I wish I'd bought one years ago.
If, like me, you change your gearbox oil yourself, treat yourself to one of these. It's way easier to use and far less messy than using an oil syringe. The pipes provided are a good length so there's no problem in siting the fresh oil container clear of where you're working. When I first opened the packaging I found that the orange pipes supplied had collapsed in several places along their length due to being packed too tightly. This was quickly rectified by applying a bit of gentle heat and squeezing them round again. One of those tools that you won't use very often but one that you'll be really glad that you do have when the job demands.If, like me, you change your gearbox oil yourself, treat yourself to one of these. I have seen these pumps being sold year on year, but I never bought one because I was making my judgment on how it looked now maybe they were supplied with poor quality tubing when they first came out, I can't be sure but suffice to say I never bought 1. I found myself needing to drain oil out through the dipstick tube and decided to buy 1. I can now state that for the price of the pump + accessories this is an excellent piece of kit, the vacuum is more than adequate, as is the output, and the pump and pipes are sturdy. I have only used this with oil. The pump once primed will allow sypon action to take over, however because I was using the dipstick tube syphoning would have taken too long, not a problem just prime and keep pumping 200ml a time and the oil is gone! I am getting 2 ... Overall a good piece of kit
Not a bad pump. For the money that i`ve paid it is well worth it. There are better products but they all come with a certain price tag on them. It does the job
