We've got a lot to learn from Mr. Rogers.
It's not that it's better than expected. It's just that it's better than 'ok'. You have to keep in mind that Mr. Rogers, as explained in the recently released movie, is wholesome and good- not frenetic and uncaring as modern television is for kids, and, come to think of it, for the rest of us. But we're used to it, and so are our kids. In other words, Mr. Rogers seems boring because we're used to the crazy energy served up by the media. What to do? Be patient, as he is patient, with ourselves. Give it, give us, a chance.
