This is cast iron effect so bare that in mind when ordering
This is a very attractive parasol base but read the description properly It is advertised as cast iron in one part but as cast iron "EFFECT" elsewhere. It is actually Resin coated over some sort of weighted base (concrete?) with the stem being of metal. It would better suit a thicker parasol stem as there is no inner sleeve for thinner parasol stems so I had to pack mine out with a piece of wood. There are parasol bases on ebay that do come with both sleeves so have a good look at all that are available and read the adverts very carefully. I went with this one because it was the cheapest of its type which I think most people would do the same too but If I had known what I was doing I would have paid more for the extra sleeve as im not very practical and it took me a week to come up with my ...
