An exceptionally useful piece of kit for editing work
It's no longer possible to buy a DVD player with built-in hard drive like this model: we already have the same model but it's getting quirky in its old age, so we knew what we were buying. We wanted a back-up for it in case it finally gives up, as we have some very old camcorder tapes which are exceptionally easy to edit using this machine, and turn into DVDs (if you aren't using a computer to do it). We have tried out this second-hand model and so far so good; it's doing everything it should and we are very pleased with it. Great for archiving tapes inc NTSC / PAL 60
I had a collection of video tapes including some from friends in the USA (all non Commercial) that I wanted to put onto dvd, My video would play the NTSC tapes for viewing on the TV however a problem occured with trying to record them on a new dvd recorder as I found out that my video gave an output called PAL 60. This recorder is capable of recording this signal first onto the Hard drive for editing, then burning onto DVDI had a collection of video tapes including some from friends in the USA (all non Commercial) that I wanted to put onto dvd, My video would play the NTSC tapes for viewing on the TV however a problem occured with trying to record them on a new dvd recorder as I found out that my video gave an output called PAL 60. easy to use and pretty capable
easy set up with through instructions, now been overtaken by blu-ray and very high capacity hard drive units but for 99% of users this unit is more than enough. with simple recording to hard drive, then if you wish to archive you can easily copy to dvd.
