    Although a little dated, a vracking good series

    As usual the BBC always given value for money on their period dramas and this series is no exception. However, it does come across as a little dated in places and naive, probably due to budget contraints at the time. Still its entertaining and very well acted.

    Great series. Simon Cadell could not be taken seriously when first broadcast because of his role in Hi Di Hi but watching now, all these years later, he plays a brilliant SS officer. He has the perfect sneer!!!!!!
