Synopsis
For the past three decades, many history professors have allowed their biases to distort the way America's past is taught. These intellectuals have searched for instances of racism, sexism, and bigotry in our history while downplaying the greatness of America's patriots and the achievements of "dead white men." As a result, more emphasis is placed on Harriet Tubman than on George Washington; more about the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II than about D-Day or Iwo Jima; more on the dangers we faced from Joseph McCarthy than those we faced from Josef Stalin. A Patriot's History of the United States corrects those doctrinaire biases. In this groundbreaking book, America's discovery, founding, and development are reexamined with an appreciation for the elements of public virtue, personal liberty, and private property that make this nation uniquely successful. This book offers a long-overdue acknowledgment of America's true and proud history., For the past three decades, many history professors have allowed their biases to distort the way America's past is taught. Accurate history

I used this history book when I home schooled my gifted child years ago. I found it to be the most accurate version I could find after reviewing numerous texts. I thought it was A fair depiction of he time and events. I believe it is wrong to view history through the lens of the 21st century. Morals and ideals change throughout time and we cannot understand or learn without that perspective, otherwise God help what the following generations think of us. I loaned my original copy and never got it back, so this purchase was to replace for my grandchildren a history which is rapidly and shamefully being rewritten.

  • True and factual history of USA. Do NOT be deceived by others.

Accurate History of the United States of America and MUST-READING for every student. Do NOT be deceived by other writers who degrade USA, it's founders, it's freedoms, and it's culture. Seek TRUTH! You do not have to sit and rad cover-to-cover. This is a lifetime keepsake and I hope every student can get this knowledge of our true history.

  • Great read concise makes the key points and gets across without too much labor

Great read. Helped me understand how the United States became a country and republic and it is broken up nicely into readable not too large paragraphs that make the main points and do not labor those points. For some one who needs to brush up or like myself who never learnt US history in school as I grew up elsewhere this is a very helpful read. Also US history comes up a lot on Jeopardy.
