One of the definative programmes of the 80s
Essential viewing for any 70's baby. If you've never seen it then it's essentially a comedy show set 3 million years in the future on a space ship who's crew are all dead except for Dave Lister who was in "stasis" (basically locked in a time proof box) when the crew were killed by a radiation leak caused by a botched drive plate repair by Arnold Rimmer who has been brought back to life as a hologram in order to keep List. There is also a humanoid decended from Listers cat on board, known simply as "The Cat", a computer who has gone insane after 3 million years alone and in later series a mechanoid called Kryten. The series revolves around the casts clumsy attempts to get back to Earth and the dangers they encounter on the way.Essential viewing for any 70's baby.
