About this product

Product Information

25th anniversary edition of the classic bestseller 'Focusing' is a technique first developed 25 years ago by American psychologist and philosopher Eugene Gendlin. Hugely influential, it offers six specific steps you can take to open up your inner world of deeper feelings and intuition - and shows you how to listen to others with more empathy. Short, very readable and so simple, you wonder why we aren't taught this fundamental life-skill at school!

    • A unique and powerful approach to psychotherapy

I've only scratched the surface of the practice presented here, but so far it is quite profound. I would describe it as psychotherapy for those not traditionally inclined towards it. Based on sound research of what went wrong (and right) with traditional therapies, what is presented is safe, effective and enlightening. Highly recommended, especially for those in caring professions.
