Mark Josten tritt gerade seinen Dienst als Polizist in New York an, als er gemeinsam mit seiner Kollegin einen Mord an einen Mann aufklaren soll, der offenbar von seiner Freundin erschossen wurde. Mark trifft am Tatort auf die kleine Marylin, die gerade 4 Jahre alt ist. Wahrend seine Kollegin glaubt, die Mutter von Marylin habe geschossen, erkennt Mark sofort, die Kleine war es. Er nimmt sich ihrer an und sie erzahlt ihm die Wahrheit und gibt die Tat zu. Sie ist zu klein um zu begreifen, was sie getan hat. Zwischen Mark und der kleinen Marylin entsteht sofort eine grosse Sympathie. Er kummert sich auch noch um sie, als die Kleine zu Pflegeeeltern kommt, weil Marylins Mutter einen Schock erlitten hat. Als der Fall geklart ist und Marylin vorerst gut untergekommen ist, trennen sich ihre Wege. Mark Josten glaubt die Kleine in Sicherheit.20 Jahre spater.Durch einen Zufall wird in einer Lagerhalle im Hafen von New York mehrere mannliche Leichen gefunden. Allesamt hangen sie wie Vieh an der Decke. Mark Josten wird mit dem Fall beauftragt und ermittelt. Er hegt den Verdacht, dass es sich bei dem Tater um eine Frau handelt. Seine Spur fuhrt zu einer schoenen blonden Frau. Aber wer ist diese Frau? Was hat Marylin damit zu tun? Kann er sich noch an sie erinnern?

The book arrived well packed get & I pristine condition at a good price. I would have liked it by 1st class post & I contacted this Seller via EBAY 'CONTACT' but got NO RESPONSE via either my email account or on ebay and certainly not in my Spam folder...SO what can you say I was inconvenienced a bit but got a positive outcome? I think they're reliable for transactions but something is remiss with electronic communication via EBAY or perhaps not tech savvy or disinterested or unwell etc..
