    Impecable research, even walking in his footsteps.

    A very moving account of a complex and varied life. Many writers have tried, but floundered, in the past. This biography is packed with details previously unpublished, and sometimes quite shocking. I found this well written book educational and emotionally involving. There is nothing quite like a misunderstood hero as a subject, and this account makes him very real.
