Black dog summer on the vineyard
Lovely book and beautiful pictures and mouth watering recipes to boot and lots of wonderful ideas and helpful hints ,like how to break down a chicken and make and cook a lot of really delicious things that has my family coming back to our table for that taste of the vineyard. And New England. I highly recommend this book it has been a great ticket to fine and delicious eating New England style .

Terrific Cookbook
If you love cookbooks, you will really like this one. Sort of like the one David Letterman's mother created, great layout, easy to read even out of the kitchen and nice font. Great photos and stories to make you feel the ocean breezes and get a real feel for the Black Dog Tavern. The fudge bottom pie, the banana blueberry pancakes and the banana blueberry muffins are my favorite three so far............once you own it you will want to get a few for friends who have been to or live in New England.If you love cookbooks, you will really like this one. The Black Dog Summer Cookbook
I knew I had to have this book immediately after seeing it. I spent summers on the Cape, my family and I often dined in the warm, homey atmosphere of the Black Dog. I can close my eye's and hear the sounds of the restaurant, and smell the fresh baked goods. Although some of the dishes have evolved, or changed some since the early 80's, the cookbook is a testament that The Black Dogs take on great Cape Cod-style comfort foods still reign supreme. Hopefully, with this cookbook I will be able to bring back memories by making some of the dishes I loved as a goung girl. I can hardly wait to make the scones. Great recipes
This is the second one for a second house. The blueberry bread pudding is Devine as is the haddock with lobster sauce. I visited this restaurant in the 60s, 70s and 80s while sailing into Vineyard Haven. Went last summer. Wish it was the same as before. Oh well. But the book is divine.
