    DVD worked as expected . A bit slower than I was hoping for but considering the price I would say it was a good buy. The USB lead is very short but would be okay with a laptop sitting on the desk if you have enough room for the unit to sit beside the laptop. I used an extension lead on mine.

    It works well for ripping my CDs to Flac using Foolbar 2000. Not sure about ripping DVDs. Still need to give that a go again. I tried using this drive to play a DVD through my laptop to the TV. It worked but the picture quality was not good. Again, I must try another method.
